About Us

I am so excited you’re here and thought I’d introduce myself!

I really rediscovered sewing while pregnant with my first child. We needed a way to help supplement our income while my husband finished school, so I dusted off my sewing machine and got to work. What started as a way to help our little family quickly turned into something much bigger. The moment I discovered quilting, I was hooked! Before long, I was spending every free minute sewing, creating, and dreaming up new projects.

Back in March of 2011, my mom had a wild idea to start a sewing school. Honestly? Everyone thought she was a little crazy…including me! You’d think by now I would know to listen to my mother. Thankfully, I jumped in anyway, because we both had a passion for sewing and a whole lot to share.

Over the years, we’ve had hundreds of students come through our sewing school, and it has been such a joy teaching beautiful girls, women, and even a handful of boys the love of sewing. Watching confidence grow stitch by stitch has been one of the greatest blessings of this journey. When covid hit we did a life swerve and started the fabric shop you enjoy today. As we have grown the shop, I started writing patterns for things we wanted to make but couldn't find patterns for. It's been such a fun creative outlet for me!

And a little about me…I have three amazing kids all married to amazing people and a wonderful hubby who keep life busy in the very best way. We are lucky enough to have four grand babies already! We feel so lucky to be in the middle of this beautiful, crazy season of life.

When I’m not sewing, you’ll usually find me knitting at the ballpark, sitting outside, or sneaking in a few stitches wherever I can. Creating with my hands has always been my happy place and my way to slow down in the middle of busy days.

Sewing has been such a huge part of my life and has brought me so much joy through every season. From teaching classes, to running the fabric shop, to designing patterns I truly love creating things that help others feel inspired and confident to sew. I hope these patterns bring a little creativity, happiness, and handmade charm into your home and life too!

Thanks for being here and happy sewing!
